About Course

Circulatory compromise can lead to life-threatening conditions if not identified and managed promptly. This 1.5-hour course provides nurses and nursing students with essential knowledge and clinical skills to assess perfusion status, recognize early signs of circulatory failure, and initiate timely interventions. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of perfusion dynamics, common causes of circulatory compromise, and evidence-based strategies for restoring hemodynamic stability.

Upon completion one (1) CE will be provided by Nurse Approved, LLC, a California BRN approved CEP #17734

  •

What Will You Learn?

  • Recognize early and late signs of circulatory compromise, including hypotension, tachycardia, and altered mental status.
  • Assess perfusion using key indicators such as capillary refill, pulse quality, blood pressure, and urine output.
  • Implement appropriate interventions to improve circulation, including fluid resuscitation, medication administration, and positioning techniques.
  • Differentiate between various types of shock (hypovolemic, cardiogenic, distributive, and obstructive) and determine the best course of action.
  • Escalate care appropriately when circulatory compromise worsens despite initial interventions.
